Visual findings and measurement data together
ANKA NDT uses ROV-assisted underwater inspections to assess the condition of vessel hulls, propellers, rudders and accessible underwater components. Image records help document damage, coating condition and signs of corrosion.
When suitable equipment and a probe handling system are used, ultrasonic thickness measurement can be integrated into the visual inspection. Surface condition, access, probe contact and data quality are assessed at the measurement locations.
Work planned around site conditions
The inspection scope is determined by taking underwater visibility, currents, structural condition and operating permits into account. Using an ROV does not eliminate the need to drain tanks or dry-dock a vessel in every situation. Work for classification purposes is planned within the scope and procedures accepted by the relevant society.
Traceable reporting
The areas inspected, visual records, valid measurement results and inspection limitations are presented together. This creates a technical record to support maintenance and further inspection decisions.
