Radiographic testing (RT) relies on differences in radiation transmission through a material. Exposure geometry and imaging technique are defined according to material, thickness, access and required image quality.

RT involves ionising radiation. Work is carried out by competent personnel with the required authorisations, a controlled area and radiation protection measures.
Reporting
Images are linked to the inspected component, technique used, image quality and assessment results. Acceptance criteria are defined according to project requirements.
