Method and application
Existing survey, maintenance and measurement records are reviewed to clarify the work scope and priorities. Work on the hull, main and auxiliary machinery and associated systems is monitored against the shipyard schedule, manufacturer instructions and project requirements. Technical communication between the shipowner, shipyard, service teams and surveyor is supported.
Scope of application
- Pre-yard condition review and preparation of the work list
- Review of repair scope, technical specifications and work sequence
- Site and service coordination for hull and machinery work
- Follow-up of inspection, testing and survey stages
- Compilation of handover records and outstanding work lists
The service scope is defined in the contract. Class and flag approvals, work requiring manufacturer authorisation and design approval remain the responsibility of the relevant authorised parties.
Reporting
The technical review, work progress records, outstanding items and handover documents are provided. Matters requiring further inspection or specialist service are identified separately.
