Method and application
Thermography images infrared energy emitted by surfaces. Electrical panels, connections, mechanical components and insulated surfaces are examined under suitable operating conditions. Emissivity, reflections, ambient conditions and equipment load are considered in the assessment.

- Analysis of temperature distribution in mechanical components
- Examination of temperature differences on insulated surfaces
- Combined presentation of thermal and visual records
A thermal camera shows surface temperature distribution. Alone, it does not determine a fault's root cause or identify every internal material defect.
Reporting
Reports document thermal images, measurement conditions, reference information and temperature differences. Supplementary examination is recommended where necessary.
